A LITTLE HISTORY OF THE BIG BURL
A burl is an outgrowth on a tree trunk or a branch.
This burl was found in John Murray’s lot from « en haut du Ruisseau ». Oscar, my son, saw the burl in St-Joseph (Memramcook) at “Roméo à Blair”'s place who got it from Guy Dupuis, a lumber jack.
I paid $100 for the burl. It measured 13 feet all around and 4 feet across. The wood is Yellow Birch.
The Brunswick Crane was driven by Léopold Gaudet. He brought the burl to my place.
